Lock-Out Trailer

The trailer for the new sci-fi action movie Lock-Out has just hit the web over at IGN. The movie, which comes out April 20th, looks equal parts Escape from New York, The Chronicles of Riddick and any generic action film ever made. I mean they actually say in the trailer, "He's the best there is . . . but he's a loose cannon!" How are you supposed to take that seriously and not laugh?

On the other hand I have to admit I'm kinda rooting for this not to suck. The reason i don't want to dismiss this movie out of hand is because Guy Pearce is a fantastic actor whom I love, as a LOST alum I have a soft spot in my heart for Maggie Grace and Luc Besson has shown a talent for introducing us to talented first time directors. Plus, I have to admit even if the rest of the movie is crap the visuals from the trailer seem pretty damned impressive.
